What is Dropshipping?

Most people are a little confused as to what drop shipping actually means. Drop shipping allows someone to have a product manufactured and distributed all the way to the customer without ever having to touch the product. This means they select a product, find a company who distributes or manufactures the product and forwards orders to them for fulfillment. Because all companies are not willing to fulfill orders this way and the prices of items are a bit higher as opposed to wholesale, this method can be a bit challenging. That’s where we come in. Often when a customer orders a product through a middle man like this, the product is being manufactured in China and takes as long as 60 days to arrive to the customer IF they receive the right item. Because we have partnerships with Chinese manufacturers and understand freight and air regulations & requirements for shipping things from China, our products only take up to 5 days to arrive. With our quality assurance inspections at our local Resell Fulfillment Center, the order is checked for quality & accuracy and then shipped to your customer, from a U.S. distributor. This puts the customer’s mind at ease and allows you to sell more products faster.

Dropshipping is a retail fulfillment method where a store doesn’t keep the products it sells in stock. Instead, when a store sells a product, it purchases the item from a third party and has it shipped directly to the customer. As a result, the merchant never sees or handles the product.

The biggest difference between dropshipping and the standard retail model is that the selling merchant doesn’t stock or own inventory. Instead, the merchant purchases inventory as needed from a third party – usually a wholesaler or manufacturer – to fulfill orders.
